Abstract
In the article, the studies revealing the essence of the quality of higher education are divided into groups and modern approaches are generalized. The author's approach to the socio-economic interpretation of the quality of higher education is formulated. The levels of economic development are determined on the basis of the performed tasks of the quality of higher education. Scientific conclusions and practical recommendations aimed at ensuring the quality of higher education and the implementation of measures in a comprehensive characteristic have been developed.
